How stunning are these Blank Canvas Cosmetics brushes*? The lovely team at BCC reached out and sent over their Rose Gold Metallic set for me to review! I’m normally faithful to my Spectrum Collections set, which you can read about here and here, but I always like trying out new brands. I was really excited to see how these measured up against them! I was kindly sent this brush set to review in anticipation of the Royal Wedding. Blank Canvas Cosmetics have created this beautiful rose gold set of makeup brushes, perfect for re-creating Meghan’s bridal beauty! Meghan Markle always looks glowing, and these brushes can definitely help you to create a flawless base. Although I love wearing different eye looks, I generally stay away from heavy face makeup and try to keep it as natural as possible! I think that finding the right brushes really help your application, as a good brush is essential to buff in your foundation!
These brushes are handmade, as well as being vegan and cruelty free! They’re very pretty and will look amazing on your dressing table! This set also contains a travel pouch to store the brushes, and it has more than enough room for some of your makeup too. The bristles unfortunately aren’t as soft as I’d like, as I think I’ve been spoilt by the Spectrum ones, but they do work well.
The brushes feel very solid which I love, as I feel it gives me more control when applying my makeup. They also wash really easily, and I didn’t notice any shedding!
Blank Canvas Cosmetics | Metallic Rose Gold Skin Perfection Set
- F41 Flat Tapered Cheek Brush – For applying powder to smaller areas
- F20 Foundation Brush – Great for creating a perfect base
- F31 Targeted Contour Brush – Perfect for sculpting cheekbones
- F33 Extreme Angle Contour Brush – So useful to get that contour
- F12 Angled Eye/Face Brush – For applying eyeshadow and concealer
I’d not heard of Blank Canvas Cosmetics before, but they are an Irish beauty brand who are cruelty free and (I think – almost completely) vegan! The brushes are around the mid-range price wise that I’d expect for a good quality set, with this set coming in at £35 on Beauty Bay. I think it’s a pretty good price for 5 brushes and the travel bag, and I’ve really enjoyed using them so far.
The Targeted Contour Brush is amazing as I’m still perfecting my contour skills (i.e. I have none!) and it makes it super easy to sculpt out some cheekbones! The Angled Eye/Face brush is also super useful for applying concealer.
Have you tried Blank Canvas Cosmetics before? They also have some beauty products, including eyeshadow palettes which are definitely going on my Wishlist. I’ve been using these brushes in my daily makeup routine for the past month and I’m really impressed so far. These are definitely the perfect brushes to make you feel like a Princess!
