It’s time for a review of The Body Shop! I’ve been trying out some treats from the lovely team at the Cardiff Body Shop! I’m so excited to be working with The Body Shop as it’s a brand I’ve always supported, and some of their products have been staples in my routine for years.
At the moment, you can get £10 off for every £25 you spend in TBS as part of their Playing For Peace campaign. For every gift you buy from their seasonal gift collections, they will donate 4.4p to International Alert’s Peace Play Project in the Lebanon for a year, helping to provide a safe place to play and learn for Syrian child refugees.
I always get gift sets for my friends & family from The Body Shop for Christmas as it’s super easy to find something for everyone (even if my boyfriend does think some of them are edible!). I also love the Banana Shampoo and Conditioner set – review coming on those soon! My Mum’s favourites are the Coconut range, and my little sister has the entire Tea Tree Oil set – and even my Dad likes the body washes they have on offer. It’s a brand we’ve always had in the house, I think partly because we all have sensitive skin and the products work well for us, but also because they make perfect gifts so we always get a few sets every year!
Ailsa from The Body Shop picked out a few treats for me to try, which was so kind of her! The package included a personalised body butter in Shea* (my new favourite scent!). It also included some cute bath bombs* (recommend the Shea butter one!) and a mix of skincare and beauty products to try.
I always forget that The Body Shop have a makeup line! I was really excited to try out a few samples. The foundation is different to ones that I’ve tried before. It’s a lot drier upon application but blends out really well with a bit of work. I’d make sure you prime or moisturise before though. I can’t fault the shade range – they did have a shade pale enough for my skin and it wasn’t orange at all. She also included the Drops Of Light*, which is a brightening serum for your skin. I enjoyed using this as it’s very lightweight upon application and dries quickly. The only thing about the serum is that the dropper bottle leaks a little so be careful! I also tried out the Clarifying Milky Toner – Chinese Ginseng & Rice*, which feels amazing on the skin and definitely had a soothing effect.
I also tried out a lip shade in Orchid 020 which is a really pretty pink shade! It was quite long lasting and didn’t smudge. It didn’t dry out my lips either which is always a bonus!
I was really impressed by the products I tried out. I definitely have a new favourite body butter and love using the toner in my daily makeup routine! Let me know what products you love from The Body Shop!
