Spectrum have some of the prettiest brushes around, as well as being 100% cruelty free and vegan! I’ve already blogged about my Spectrum collection, which you can read here. I recently picked up the Face set in the Black Friday sales, and a couple others as well! The eye set have been a staple in my makeup routine for months now – they’re the softest brushes I’ve ever tried and I love the variety on offer.
The Contour Queen – Face set includes the following:
B01 – Flat Top Buffer – I use this to apply my foundation and buff it into my skin. I love how soft the brush is, but it’s really dense at the same time!
B02 – Domed Buffer – I use the B02 to add my base contour into the hollows of my cheeks before a night out. The NYX Blush in Taupe is a great contour shade for pale skin!
C03 – Tulip Powder – I like to use this one to add contour around my hairline as well as highlight!
C04 – Angled Powder – I use the C04 with my finishing powder as it’s super soft and not too dense!
This set retails for £29.99 but I picked it up for only £13 in the Black Friday sale! It’s back in stock on the Spectrum website now. I ended up picking up a few others in the sale too!
C01 – No 1 Fan – This will completely change your highlight game, the diffused bristles are perfect for applying the perfect amount of highlighter along your cheekbone!
A02 – Your best angle – I use this one to apply foundation to all areas of my face evenly. I love the angle on it when applying it to the contours of my face.
I held off buying new brushes for long because I wanted to invest in a good set – I was so impressed with the Eye set I started with, that I knew I’d love the Face set! Spectrum do brushes so well – they’re always high quality, and really affordable. I’ll admit some of the bigger sets can run a little higher, but they have a really good range on offer for all budgets and they’re about to release their Zodiac range which is absolutely gorgeous! The customer advice team as well as the team running Spectrum are absolutely lovely too – I love that I can support a small (soon to be huge!) business who are environmentally friendly – check out their newest blog post ‘Pink For The Planet!’.
